It would be wonderful if you could provide more up-to-date drivers in the nvidia-driver package and related packages, maybe by establishing a role of updating to the most current nvidia driver when you publish a new kali release.

as far as I see, kali still ships with nvidia 525.xxx, which is quite old already. As a consequence, the system doesn't recognize my RTX4000 generation graphics card correctly. For example nvidia x-server settings fails to recognize it, which is not surprising because the 4000 generation was introduced after that driver version was released. The most current is 550.xxx or so, so my other Linux distro (I dual boot) recognizes the card without problem.

It is also important because depending on the specific nvidia graphics card, nouveau is no alternative as it might cause random freezes (I had this issue with an RTX 2000 generation card). In my experience the proprietary driver is significantly more stable.
