I have the same problem and I can't solve it. Only happens in kali-linux-everything.

I have been having this issue as well. I believe it came about yesterday, on 08/15 (tho I could be mistaken, since I was out of town for a week & a half, unable to perform updates).
I'll attach a screenshot of today's update that I did, in case it'll help. Also, I, too, have kali-linux-everything enabled, and am running Kali on my bare-metal laptop.

As a workaround, you should be able to fix with something like:

apt remove odat kali-linux-everything python3-asyncore

We'll do our best to fix that next week, sorry for the inconvenience.

We'll ping again here when it's fixed.

Kali team seems to be aware (0008877:0019657) and even provided a possible workaround so no "same here" postings required as it doesn't add any value.

Thanks for the info + workaround, arnaudr.
I'll keep dealing with things for the time being, and wait to see if it gets cleared up by end of next week.
If it doesn't, then I'll go the route of your workaround.
Again - greatly appreciate your post, arnaudr!!
