Summary0008882: hi i am wsl user , the desktop is black
Description

when i open the kex i kali linux , the desktop screen remains black . so reinstall the kex

say a solution

Is this running inside a VM?
I am using VirtualBox, and there are a few settings that are recommended enabled for Kali to run properly.
In my case, I had to give it 128mb of video memory, ensure floppy disk was not enabled, HDD set first in boot order, at least 30gb of space allocated, PAE/NX enabled, and both bidirectional options enabled.

Could you please restart your PC & check the any system update are required . after also same issue please don't use logout to exit again, just use F8.
