Sounds more like something you should report to the development team of the software (XFCE) rather then to the team packaging this software (Kali). |

Hello, we can't work on this kind of issues, we don't have the bandwidth. Plus, this is very unlikely to be an issue that is specific to Kali, I guess you'll have the same issue if you try to run Debian testing, with a XFCE desktop, in QEMU. Hopefully the issue will be fixed with new version of QEMU, or new release of XFCE, or anything in between (graphics stack, input stack, I have no idea). Additionally, I use QEMU to test Kali, and I can't reproduce the issue. I'm running QEMU 10.1.0+ds-5 on a Debian unstable host, with the following options:
If you give me the qemu options that you use to run your VM, I can give it a try. |

Thanks for your replies. I run my VM on Archlinux using Virtual Machine manager. I checked its xml configuration. I'm not sure if others can use it to reproduce these problems. I'll check it to see if this problem occurs in KDE or other distribution. |

I installed KDE in Kali, and it also happened. Then I installed a new debian13 VM with xfce, this problem disappered in the new VM. By the way, if I restart the kali virtual machine, the mouse will be in the correct position. However, I can't resize the VM window; the mouse will remain in its original position. It seems that the mouse in the virtual machine cannot obtain the actual coordinate position according to the adjustment of the window. That's all for now. Perhaps it will be fixed in the future. |

Then it's probably an issue that happened after Debian 13 was released. Kali is based on Debian testing. |
