| Summary | 0009553: Mouse scrolling does not work in XRDP | ||||
| Description | I use kali in Hyper-V, in enhanced session mode this means I am using XRDP to connect. With the update to xrdp v0.9.27 scrolling with the mouse wheel broke. If I downgrade to xrdp 0.9.24-5, mouse scrolling works again. I am not sure if this is an XRDP problem or problem in another dependency. | ||||

Report to XRDP devs? |

I created one: https://github.com/neutrinolabs/xrdp/issues/3735 I believe that the problem might be that xorgxrdp is outdated in kali. But not sure. |

xrdp has been updated to 0.9.27-0kali1 but didnt fix the issue. I think xorgxrdp needs an update as well |

Yes both The version in Debian testing (Kali is based from testing) has known issues, that's why we had to revert to older versions 0.9.x in Kali. Then newer version have been sitting in Debian experimental for a while, however these versions are still work in progress, I tried it 2 weeks ago, and the packages are broken. I hope I can find some time to work on that for the next Kali release cycle (ie. after 2026.1 is out), and possibly ship newer versions in Kali, cause we can't wait on Debian forever. I'll do my best but can't promise anything. |
