| Summary | 0001399: Installation bug | ||||
| Description | I've tried installing Kali Linux 1.0.7 32-bit version on my old computer. I have CD-ROM connected to motherboard and when i get to the part of installation where it scans for CD-ROM and tries to mount it i get error "cd rom does not seem to contain a valid release file". After that i click continue and I get another error that says that installation had to be aborted because of the previous error. I selected the option in the menu to scan and mount again but i get the same error. When i tried to google the problem and find the solution i couldn't find any, only few people as I have the same problem. | ||||

This is not a valid bug report, as it contains no useful debugging information. Saying this, verify the md5sum of your downloaded ISO, it sounds like you have a bad burn / media. Please read http://docs.kali.org/troubleshooting/submitting-issues-kali-bug-tracker before posting in our bug tracker. |
