Description

There is a bug in the version of wkhtmltoimage included in Kali 1.0.8. The version included included can be seen below:

dpkg -l |grep wkhtml
rc wkhtmltopdf 0.10.0+0.11.0rc1

Issue is further exacerbated as the package is a dep for metasploit and armitage.

Steps To Reproduce

If using the nmap .nse screenshot script, wkhtmltoimage hangs when encountering a page that requires basic auth i.e. HTTP 401 it hangs forever. This issue has been fixed in wkhtmltoimage version 0.12.1.

Additional Information

The fix is to update wkhtmltopdf (which provides wkhtmltoimage) to version 0.12.1. I've done this manually and it fixes the issue without breaking metasploit via the following link:
http://wkhtmltopdf.org/downloads.html

The download for Debian Linux (Debian Wheezy), wkhtmltopdf version 0.12.1 works fine and fixes the bug.
