The current version of wifite isn't compatible with latest & current version of aircrack-ng (v1.2 rc2 - https://www.kali.org/penetration-testing/pixiewps-reaver-aircrack-ng-updates/) due to airmon-zc replacing airmon-ng and altering the output.

Commit c6124eaff9cdf9aa96027cb657a50a4e9d350714 (should) fix the issue. =)

Additional Information

There are new commits afterwards that adds new features into wifi - I haven't tested theses.

Wifite has sprung up multiple forks

https://github.com/brianpow/wifite/
https://github.com/aanarchyy/wifite-mod-pixiewps/

Although it would be nice to merge these in (especially the pixiewps support) the current wifite in Kali doesn't really work at all.

Would it be possible to make an updated package for the above referenced fixed commit while waiting for the merges to happen with the forks?

as a followup, the testing of the package in proposed-updates does not allow me to put the card in monitor mode, but all versions will automatically pick up if a card is already in monitor mode and use it.
