$ dpkg -L firmware-iwlwifi|grep iwlwifi-6000g2a-6.ucode This firmware is available in the firmware-iwlwifi package in Kali. And that package is available in the Kali ISO image. |

And the files are there in /firmware/ in the ISO image for the installer. So I don't really understand why it asked you to provide the missing firmware via removable device. What ISO image did you use ? If the system is already installed, please send me a copy of /var/log/installer/hardware-summary and /var/log/installer/syslog. Otherwise, during the install, can you see whether you have some meaningful error message related to this in /var/log/syslog of the installer (or the fourth console, you can switch to it with CTRL+ALT+F4) ? |

In fact, it might be a real issue as discussed in the sub-thread here: I'm not quite sure however given that we use a newer kernel compared to Debian Wheezy. |
