| Summary | 0002514: Airmon-ng monitor mode and fern wifi Cracker problem | ||||
| Description | When I put wlan0 into monitor mode it sometimes stays in monitor mode or it says it is while I am still able to access the internet. Also while connecting an additional wireless card airmon tends to put it as wlan1monmon and sometimes wlan0monmonmon. With Fern wifi cracker while being in standard wlan0 ferns puts the interface in monitor mode but fails to located access points and when removing monitor mode in fern, fern tends to remove the wireless interface completely meaning it doesn't put it back into wlan0 it just removes it completely. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | enter wlan0 into monitor mode in airmon-ng. (sometimes it doesn't put it into wlan0mon completely) Add another wireless card then put that interface into monitor mode, then you will get wlan1monmon Bring up fern wifi cracker and then use fern to put wlan0 into monitor mode, then it doesn't show access points then use fern to remove monitor mode then fern removes whatever interface you are using completely. | ||||

This is a problem with Kali 2.0 |

Sounds like you are not running "arimon-ng check kill" before putting your card in monitor mode. |
