Description

Alfa AWUS051NH drops wifi connection randomly and will not connect on boot up, I have been trying to use my Alfa AWUS051NH on my Kali 2.0 install, the Kali 2.0 is the VMware iso on the Kali website. I am running it on VMworkstation 12 pro. I am not having problems with the VM on my Kali 1.11a machine, using the Alfa AWUS051NH. I have the lastest version of VMware tools installed. I am new to Kali Linux so I am not sure what all you will need. I have tested on different Access Points and the results are the same.

Steps To Reproduce

I boot my Kali 2.0 VM, wireless is not connected. I do ifconfig wlan0 down, then do ifconfig wlan0 up, wireless then connects after about 30 seconds, It will then stay connected for about 5 to 10 minutes then it disconnects from wireless, so I do ifconfig wlan0 down, then ifconfig wlan0 up and all is good again, I have to keep doing this all the time.

If you need any logs or screen shots, please send me the commands as I am new to this all.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
