Summary0003060: Error Installing Nvidia drivers on Kali Linux 2.0
Description

when'ever i try to install the nvidia drivers in kali linux some of these things happen :
1- The installer crash and can't continue installing.
2- when i run the install command it just freezes.
3- I get stuck on the tty1,2,3,etc boot menu where i can only run commands and not actually use the GUI login.
4- or the drivers don't get installed correctly, somethings are missing.

Steps To Reproduce

Normal install using this method:
http://docs.kali.org/general-use/install-nvidia-drivers-on-kali-linux

Or manual install from the nvidia website:
I download the latest driver ( i tried old ones and still the same ) and chmod to make it executable, and then run it.

I also tried to apt-get update and dist-upgrade before installing any thing, and one more time without apt-get update and dist-upgrade.

Additional Information

please fix this or add new tutorial or something in the docs. I tried many methods and most of them crashed/damaged my kali linux 2.0 files and had to reInstall it multiple times just to figure out a solution but i still didn't find any!

I think it is problem in one of these things during the install:
gdm3 service
kdms-kernel-headers
or Nouveau drivers.
