| Description | As the title says, I have a problem when I try to install Kali Linux using VirtualBox on my Windows 7 host computer. When I start the virtual machine using Kali, I can only get to the boot menu, but I'm unable to choose any option, since my keyboard seems to stop working at this point. I can't browse to the Install option or even to select the Live (686-pae) option which is the first option where the selector appears. Note that when I start/restart the virtual machine, I can see a "screen" of Virtual Box saying "Press F12 to select boot device". I quickly press F12 and a kind of console appears. Here everything works, so I press key B | ||||

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing,and also give information about your setup? |
