Summary0003447: lsb-core required to use google-earth
Description

As of 26-Jul-2016, the Google Earth depends on lsb-core to operate and I can't get it to work with 64-bit Kali 2016. Lsb-core is only offered in the 32-bit distro of kali 2016, yet trying to go through the trouble of multi-arching the 32-bit lsb-core libraries has not worked. I found myself in dependency soup...

Please help with the dependency issues. I have many different interests in creating and using Google-Earth and it's nifty kml file parsing...

Thanks!

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Download Google Earth https://www.google.com/earth/download/ge/agree.html

(here's an attempt I made with the 32 bit version... 64 bit yields the same results...)

  1. root@operator:2016-07-26 01:28:50:~/Downloads# dpkg -i google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb
    Selecting previously unselected package google-earth-stable:i386.

Some steps I followed to no success...

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
