Summary0003621: Caja not working in Kali Mate
Description

Caja doesn't work
Starting caja from menu or double-clicking on a desktop icon (computer, root, trash) results in clock for about 5 seconds then nothing

Steps To Reproduce

have rebooted several times, with same results as description

Additional Information

Running Kali 2016.2-MATE in Virtualbox 5.1.6, with guest additions (installed using apt-get today as per kali instructions
Host Computer is Ubuntu MATE 16.04

Added lightdm, to get gui, without having to do startx after each logon, however same problem occured when using startx

Yes, it is known that MATE is not compatible with GTK+3.22 and the Debian package maintainers are not being very reactive so far.

We're not going to do the work that the Debian package maintainer are unwilling to do so I suggest that you just use something else until Mate is again working.
