| Summary | 0003671: Openvas v 8.0+kali3: error on scannings | ||||
| Description | Openvas v 8.0+kali3 cannot perform scannings. I got the following message on web browser: I followed the recommendations of issue https://bugs.kali.org/view.php?id=2536 and updated openvas to version 8.0+kali3, but the error is still happening. Installed kali version: | ||||

Solved! I just created the file openvassd.conf in directory /etc/openvas with the line "kb_location = /var/run/redis/redis.sock" as content. So i've changed the file /etc/redis/redis.conf and change the line unixsocketperm with permission 775 and it's worked. |

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing,and also give information about your setup? |
