Summary0003712: Channel 165 appearing as invalid channel (mdk3/airodump)
Description

Aircrack is 1.2 RC 4

Attempting to set channel 165 returns an error, as if specifying any invalid channel (like 250 or the like). When running a scan, channel 165 is skipped.

Setting the adapter directly to channel 165 works fine by using iwconfig. When set manually, these tools will see networks on 165. Likewise, specifying the frequency manually (5825) with -C in airodump, or including that in the range will hop to channel 165. Specifying -C 0 will also hop to channel 165.

I found this, http://trac.aircrack-ng.org/ticket/463
The current aircrack is using GetFrequencyFromChannel()

Steps To Reproduce

iwconfig wlan0mon channel 36
airodump-ng wlan0mon --band a

or just

airodump-ng wlan0mon -c 165

Additional Information

airodump-ng wlan0mon --band a -C 0

works fine

OK, seems to be only an aircrack-ng thing, mdk3 and other tools can use channel 165. Just airodump-ng -c 165 errors out.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
