Summary0003713: Screen flicker at first, then turns completely black.
Description

Recently installed Kali 2016.2 (x64) on my laptops hdd, with dualboot Windows 7 Pro (x64).

At first start I updated & upgraded. Did a restart and opened up "sqlmap".

The screen starts to flicker at random times (only in terminal) when I press a key on my keyboard, and all of a sudden after a couple of small flickers the screen goes black completely black!! No cursor, no background, just black.

This usually happens when i open for example, "sqlmap", starts a scan on a url (and minimizing the terminal windows while the scan completes) and then maximizes the windows and start to type something, for example "clear" or "exit"

This forces me to press and hold the power button to shut down my laptop, and then start it up again. But after a few key presses on my keyboard, the same things happens.

**One keypress=one flicker.

Steps To Reproduce

1, Open up terminal and type "sqlmap". --does not matter what tool, I use sqlmap just for example.
2, Minimize terminal window and leave it for a couple of seconds. Or start a scan in sqlmap.
3, Maximize terminal window again and press a key on you keyboard inside the active terminal.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
