Description	New version of openssl provides various new features including the ability for 'openssl passwd' to produce SHA256 and SHA512 based output using the algorithm defined in https://www.akkadia.org/drepper/SHA-crypt.txt

rhertzog 2016-11-18 13:38 administrator ~0006123	openssl 1.1 is already in Debian unstable, it will come to Debian testing (and thus Kali) when it's ready. This upgrade is a major API-breaking upgrade so it can't be done quickly. You will have to wait a bit longer but there's nothing for us to do right now.
