Summary | 0003798: Turning off an onboard wireless card via networkmanager, also turns off USB wireless cards
Description | Currently, if one turns off a PCI/onboard wireless card, and turns a USB wireless device on, it also turns the PCI/onboard card back on. For powersaving reasons, I should be able to turn on off in favor of the other.
Steps To Reproduce | Have a computer with an onboard wireless card (ie laptops), have an external USB wireless card. Try turning the onboard wireless nic off via the battery icon in the upper left corener. Next try turning the USB wireless NIC on in the same manner Both cards will now be on/enabled
Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
