Summary | 0003928: AMD Turion issue: fan too noisy and high cpu usage
Description | I have an old laptop for security audits, model HP Compaq nx6125, with an AMD Turion 64 CPU (single core). The issue starts with Kali Rolling 32bit (tested on 2016.2 and weekly builds on 2017), the CPU becomes too slow and the fan is too noisy, sometimes the laptop shutdowns because of the heat, and performance is very slow in general. I was using previously Kali 2.0 in the same laptop without any issues, but in order to keep the system updated I'd like to jump to rolling release. I've seen this behavior with some Ubuntu based distros using the same laptop. Debian Jessy is working well though.
Steps To Reproduce | Using the AMD Turion when booting, the system becomes very slow and the fan is too noisy. Laptop model HP Compaq nx6125
