Assigned To
Product Version2017.1
Target VersionFixed in Version
Summary0004026: acerhdf: unknown (unsupported) BIOS version
DescriptionFirst boot after fresh install, I get "acerhdf: unknown (unsupported) BIOS version Acer /AO751h /V0.3204, please report, aborting!". System then crashes/hangs and is unusable.

(Apologies rhertzog for creating a new issue - only saw your comments for feedback on issue 0002438:0003552 after it was closed and I couldn't add comments to the original issue)
Steps To Reproduce1. Fresh install of Kali Linux 2017.1 32-bit (http://cdimage.kali.org/kali-2017.1/kali-linux-2017.1-i386.iso) from USB.
2. Boot into new system.
3. Error is displayed (see screenshot attached) and system freezes i.e. it doesn't progress to any usable state, whether GUI or shell - it just hangs. Hard reboot just takes you back to the same error.

Only solution is to wipe the drive and install a different OS.
Additional InformationLaptop is an Acer Aspire One (A0751h).
