Summary0004077: Weekly (24) image doesn't allow to edit grub entries
Description

When it boots, we get to the grub menu that has a bunch of entries (live, failsafe, install, advanaced tools, etc).

Typing 'e' to edit any of the entries doesn't do anything.

I just tested the weekly (25) image and I can edit the entries.
Do you still have the issue with the new weekly image?

Are you sure that you are in GRUB? GRUB is only used if you boot in UEFI mode.

If you are in Syslinux (BIOS boot), then it's "TAB" that you should use to edit entries.

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.1), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
We will be closing this ticket due to inactivity.

Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)?

If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup?

@Mister_X Can you please reply to my comment in https://bugs.kali.org/view.php?id=4077#c6845 ?

I have serious doubts about the fact that it would not be possible to edit the boot command line. I think you are just not using the correct method to do it. TAB in syslinux, "e" is only for Grub.

My bad, yes it can be modified using tab. Sorry.
