Description

Trying to mount an audio cd fails.
I think audio cds have worked in the past.

See attached screenshot:
Failed to mount "Audio Disc".
The specified location is not supported.

Steps To Reproduce

Insert audio disc and click to mount it.
Error dialog is displayed:
Failed to mount "Audio Disc".
The specified location is not supported.

So this means it depends on what packages are installed by default. I'm not sure that it's a bug that audio cd are not recognized unless you have the required package... this is not really the core of what Kali is about.

I don't know what is the required package, maybe "totem" or "nautilus-extension-brasero".

I submitted a debian bug report.

The same problem exists with:

  • the current debian live testing
  • the debian live 9.3 stable

Please give us the URL of your Debian bug report then.

But I don't see the point of reopening this ticket. It will be fixed in Kali when it will be fixed in Debian. I still don't plan to do anything about this.
