Summary | 0004519: Kali 2018-W06 (amd64) fails to start network time synchronization
Description | I have installed the 2018-W06 weekly amd64 build of Kali Linux (as a VM hosted on Debian 9 via VirtuaBox). Upon starting it up, several identical messages are displayed saying "Failed to start Network time Synchronization".
Steps To Reproduce | Uninstallation and reinstallation of Kali. Problem persists.
Additional Information | I have never had this problem with any oter version of Kali (installed as a VM in the same way). It appears to be a problem specifically affecting this particular version.
NB: I have verified the integrity of the downloaded installation file (kali-linux-2018-W06-amd64.iso) by checking its SHA256 hash which is 8b09f04df434c34b8a7c52b0525396e4876113ff467b1ff0210eae06233be48b |

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.x), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
