Description

The SHA256SUM hash for the Kali-Linux VMware 64-Bit image listed on https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-vm-vmware-virtualbox-hyperv-image-download/ is incorrect.

The hash computed on the downloaded image is:

341ead4c29b2946b30ae9fcd42895c91b6f0614a4677a2516adf17af9db5e669

The one that is published is instead:

b35793f41cd9913dcc76318ce6454444b8ad4cd16a19155249d1f2345d82d9b1

This is easily reproducible when the image is downloaded on different computers.

Steps To Reproduce

Download Kali-Linux VMware 64-Bit image from https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-vm-vmware-virtualbox-hyperv-image-download/

Run:

shasum -a 256 kali-linux-2018.1-vm-amd64.7z
