Summary | 0004563: bumblebee fails to unload nvidia kernel module after primus exit
Description | When I launch some program with primusrun or optirun and close it, Feb 25 12:53:52 Harken bumblebeed[18893]: [ 3106.839895] [ERROR]Failed to unload module 'nvidia' (ref count: 1) Keeping the kernel module loaded seems to affect battery performance
Steps To Reproduce |
$ primusrun glxgears and then exit the program.
lsmod | grep nvidia | ||||
Additional Information | I reported same bug in Debian Buster BTS, they suggested the problem may be some lost patch or modprobe script in Kali package:
Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.x/2018.1), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
