Summary0004654: Kali 2018.1 Live/USB does not allow a MacBook 12" Retina 2015 to use trackpad
Description

When booting from a USB thumb drive, containing Kali 2018.1, the trackpad of the MacBook 12" Retina Early 2015 is not active.
Nothing can be used: trackpad or keyboard and only the Power button is active.
Basically Kali cannot be run on that platform.

I also tried with an external BT mouse, with the same results, not being able to

Steps To Reproduce

Create a USB thumb drive with Kali 2018.1
Insert USB on the dongle for a MacBook 12" retina, Early 2015
Boot up and hold Option key
Select the USB drive
Then from the boot menu, select Live (note that the arrows are working, allowing to select any items in the boot menu)
The Kali desktop will be loaded
Trackpad (cursor) is not active, not responding
Keyboard is not responding either
Only Power button works, allowing you to shit down the MacBook

Additional Information

I also tried to configure an external BT mouse but also this configuration does not work and the mouse is not active

We're sorry but we don't have the manpower to deal with hardware support problems.
Those problems need to be fixed in the upstream Linux kernel. We regularly import new kernel releases.
