Description | Surface Pro 3 builtin wifi (Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88W8897 [AVASTAR] 802.11ac Wireless does not work with 2018.3+. It works with 2018.2. It is seen and can scan the networks but cannot connect to any. dmesg shows: May be an issue with 4.17 kernel as I've seen other folks using other distros complaining about the same thing after upgrading to kernel 4.17. | ||||
Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2018.3), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
