| Summary | 0005055: Plz need help with my kali linux installation internet connectivity (eth0 & wla0) | ||||
| Description | Hello Sir, Each time I install a new kali-linux-2018-3-vm-i386-7z or kali-linux-2018-3-vm-amd64-ova on my vmware fusion I am able to browse the internet from both the mozilla firefox and all my pings on the command line replies successful but immediately I turn off the kali linux o.s and turns it back on from my vmware fusion; it stops browsing the internet both on mozilla firefox and on the command line prompt, I tried watching a few videos on youtube and did some troubleshooting but all effort proved abortive but when I tried troubleshooting eth0 and wlan0 with the ifconfig tool, it comes with an error that the interfaces were not found. This development have put my self learning of internet security in a huge halt. I am very new to all these, please if you have a step by step explanation that can help solve this problem, please do provide to me because I do not have the funds to go to a proper learning center to learn internet security but this has been my passion all my life. Thanks in anticipation. | ||||

Is there any kind of output in dmesg after booting? Does it happen only after shutdown and starting back up, or when reboot occurs? Which version of VMWare Fusion, and can you test the newly released 2018.4 images? |
