Description

steps:

  1. Logged in as root
  2. on multiple workspaces i did have few applications running ffrom past 50 hours
  3. i tried lock feature with Ctrl+Alt+L
  4. then clicked Switch User
  5. then logged in with same root user again

here i found that system killed previously running all applications from all workspaces...

This will occur on ANY linux system. It treats switching users to the same user as a fresh login. If you feel like switch user should treat the same user attempting to log in as a non-switch/fresh login, you should file a bug in whatever login manager/desktop environment you use bug tracker

As mentioned by threeway, this is not a bug and is standard behavior in any Linux system.
