Summary | 0005274: Kali Linux installation fails, no network card found (Realtek RTL8822BE), but live Kali works with WiFi fine
Description | /Hi there, I have a Lenovo Flex 6-14IKB laptop with Realtek RTL8822BE (WiFi+Bluetooth) network adaper in it. When I try to install Kali Linux on it (from an ISO mounted on a USB flash drive), the installation process is interruptedon a network card driver selection stage. The installer asks me to choose a network adapter from a list (pretty long one) of network adapters, but the required one (RTL8822BE) is not there. Interestingly, but could it be possible that this driver is mistakenly not included in the list of network drivers which we see during Kali Linux installation? thanks
Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling <= 2018.4), these legacy versions are no longer supported. Please could you see if you are able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Kali Linux - https://www.kali.org/downloads/)? If you are still facing the same problem, feel free to re-open the ticket. If you choose to do this, could you provide more information to the issue you are facing, and also give information about your setup? |
