It reports it, because that part of metasploit is exactly what avast says it is. That's part of the package, and there's not much we can do on our end. This isn't a bug in kali, and to get around it, you'll need to disable your virus scanner from scanning the kali files. With some sort of exception, which unfortunately is outside the scope of this bug tracker. |
