Summary0005459: THC-Hydra v9 - incremental version upgrade
Description

New stable incremental version of Hydra released (https://github.com/vanhauser-thc/thc-hydra/releases/tag/v9.0). Current stable version hosted on Kali releases precedes newest stable release by two versions. Update resolves potentially exploitable security vulnerabilities and adds support for rdp (previously dropped in v8.8) , mongodb and memcached services. Diff of changelong from version included in 9.0 release included in 'Additional Information' section.

  • rdp: Revamped rdp module to use FreeRDP library (thanks to loianhtuan@github for the patch!)
  • Added memcached module
  • Added mongodb module
  • http: http module now supports a= option to select http authentication type
  • JSON output does now truncate the file if exists.
  • Fixed svn module memory leaks
  • Fixed rtsp module potential buffer overflow
  • Fixed http module DIGEST-MD5 mode

  • CIDR notation (hydra -l test -p test 192.168.0.0/24 ftp) was not detected, fixed
