Summary0005867: Terminal is invisible and the power logo hangs on clicking
Description

The title says it all but unless I have another window open and click the terminal button so it lays over it, I cannot see terminal. This is the same after installing Terminator. The power button also hangs when I click it and enters an "infinite loop". I have reproduced this over three installations now. Please fix!

Steps To Reproduce

install 2019.4 and open terminal or try to press power button to logout or shutdown

I expect this is the same issue documented here: https://www.kali.org/docs/general-use/xfce-faq/#no-terminal

Alternatively, assuming this is a VM try to turn off your 3d acceleration in the VM settings.

Mr. Elwood you were exactly right about it being a VM and me needing to turn off the 3D acceleration in my display. My deepest apologies for disturbing the board.
