Description

After upgrading, the rotate icon of the display was removed.
That icon was on the top menu bar (wifi, proxy, bluetooth, user, settings, lock, power-off icon)

Could you provide some extra information? I'm not sure what you mean with the 'rotate icon'.
Also which desktop are you talking about?

In the older gnome and Kali, you can see a rotation button on the top menu bar (power and proxy switcher menu).
I attached a screenshot.
Note: My laptop has HP3D Guard and I can rotate my screen to left and right.

Oh, that now makes much more sense. Thanks for the screenshot ;)
That button was provided by an extension. With gnome's update the menu design changed so now that extension wasn't compatible.
