Summary0006045: Monitorbild total durcheinander beim Installieren von USB-Stick
Description

Please report bug in English.

Do you also have the problem if you try to boot on one of the installer ISO?
eg http://cdimage.kali.org/kali-2020.1/kali-linux-2020.1-installer-netinst-amd64.iso

This is likely a bug or limitation in the driver of the Radeon™ RX Vega 11 graphical chipset integrated in your CPU.

You could try to pass "nomodeset" on the kernel command line starting the installer.

To get access to the kernel command line, you should press TAB if you are in BIOS mode.

In EFI mode (with grub instead of syslinux), I believe that you have to press "e".

Thank you for your quick response to my comment.

  1. I tried to install Kali with the "installer-netinst-amd64.iso". It did not work. Same problem.
  2. I don't know how to use "nomodeset". It didn't work.
  3. I tried to install Kali with a DVD and a different USB-key. It did not work.
  4. At the moment I am installing Kali on my 2nd PC which is a Gigabyte 1151 socket mainboard and an Intel Celeron G3900. The GPU is an AMD 570. It's working fine (the installation), although the CPU is a bit weak.
  5. Tomorrow I'll try to use your virtual machine downloads of Kali 2020.1 (either VM-ware or VirtualBox) on my AMD Ryzen 5 2400G.
