Summary0006082: Atheros AR9271 Model AWUS036NHA crashs Kali after coming out of sleep
Description

I did a fresh install of Kali 2020.1 on Windows 10 fully patched using Vmware workstation 15 fully patched. The AWUS036NHA usb adapter is working when I connect it to the VM. It creates wlan0 in Kali. When the computer Windows 10 goes to sleeps and I wake it up the Kali VM crashes with VMWare error saying that the CPU has been disbaled by the guest operating system. This only happens when the AWUS036NHA usb adapter is plugged in. I have updated with apt update, apt upgrade and apt dist-upgrade and it does not help.

I have also tried it on 2019.4 and it was fine. I also took a copy of the VM and ran it on a different computer same result. I also tried to do another refresh install of Kali, New VM and the same result.

Steps To Reproduce

Boot Kali
plug in AWUS036NHA usb adapter
wait until Windows 10 goes to sleep
Wake up computer
VM with Kali is locked and CPU message in on.

Additional Information

I did try two different Alfa usb adapters, and they are OK, however they are different chip sets.
