Summary0006352: CSR Fake Dongle Tweaks to Work
Description

Sir many of the Kali Linux Users bought CSR Bluetooth Dongles as they were cheap and small in size. They were intended to work with Linux But did not. After searching the web, we knew that the Bluetooth Dongles that we bought were either Fake CSR 4.0 Dongles or either they were new ones that do not support the kernel. We somehow managed to modify the kernel to make the dongle work. It was turning up and down with the help of hciconfig but before the modification it did not. But as we turn on the hcitool to scan for Bluetooth devices in the area it only scans for one device. That appear to be a lot confiusing

Steps To Reproduce

1: Fake CSR 4.0 Dongle Inset into Kali Linux
2: Now type hciconfig hci0 up inn terminal
3: It will show up Feature not Supported (95)
4: That is the reason I asked you for

Additional Information

Sir many of your Kali Linux Users are disappointed that the dongles that they bought were not working. Many of them were beginners and It may have a bad impact on them about Kali Linux. However,

When I inserted the same e Bluetooth Dongle into Kali Linux older builds such as Kali 1.0.0 and more

It seemed to be Working Great without any kernel modification,
Any Help Would be Many Appreciated,
We are hoping to listen from you about this issue,
Your User,
