Also, if you hit a dead end, you can always buy a cheap, disposable WiFi adapter like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Tenda-Wireless-Adapter-Nano-Compatible-W311M/dp/B006GCYAOS/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Tenda+N150+Wireless+WiFi+Network+Adapter&qid=1590469086&sr=8-3
It works out of the box without the need for additional drivers. However, I must tell you that the range is kinda terrible, and there's no support for 5G networks

The other one I have is an ASUS USB-AC68: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-USB-AC68-Dual-Band-Adapter-Included/dp/B01I7QFR10/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=asus+ac68&qid=1590469359&sr=8-2
Problem with this one is that it's a pain to get the right driver. It does, however, support dual band networks.

Do your research on which adapter is most compatible with Kali before making any purchases. And again, this is in the case you can't find the right driver for your internal WiFi card.
