|Summary||0006415: Kali connection issues|
|Description||I'm having an issue with a fresh install of Kali (2020.2). Whether it's ethernet or wlan, it doesn't want to connect. My network adapter runs fine, and I'm running Kali as a main OS.|
The network adaptor, I found out, is a Broadcom bcm4313. When I try to connect it either says "Disconnected" or it just freezes and I have to reboot the system. Also during installing, when trying with wlan, it was telling me that it had trouble with the exchange of the keys. I'm using WPA, it could be issues with the DHCP or as I've been told the WPA supplicant.
I have tried installing the firmware for my network adapter but through the terminal, it said it was already installed.
After some digging, I don't think the problem is the hardware, it seems to be a bug of some sort that occurred after the Kali Linux 1.0.7 update.
Let me know if you have a solution to this or have experienced the same problem
|Steps To Reproduce||Try connecting to the wlan|
|Additional Information||Onboard network adapter used.|
