Description | When locking the system, it presents the logon box again. If you inadvertently enter an incorrect password in the username field, it will not allow you to go back and correct the username, and will not allow selection of the password field. I have seen this issue a number of times, and each time I have had to reboot to resolve it. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Lock computer, input incorrect password once. | ||||
Which login manager are you using where this occurs? If the desktop is XFCE (the default), the login manager would be lightdm. If the desktop is Gnome, then the login manager would be gdm3 If the desktop is KDE, then the login manager would be sddm. Are you seeing this issue on the latest updates? The latest version of Kali is currently 2021.2 |
