Summary0006560: kali-linux-2020.2a-vbox-amd64 installation failures using the latest amd64 or I386 ver. on the Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Ex6.6.1.0
Description

I downloaded and attempted to install each of the I386 and AMD64 vbox packages on my newly running ORACLE_VM_VirtualBox_EX6.6.1.0 environment. I have a Win10 Pro 64bit Optiplex HW platform using an Intel I7-7400 processor and 16 MB RAM /SSDs. The errors are consistently pointing to a missing KERNEL problem with the following errors:

Failed to open session for the virtual machine KALI-Linux-2020.1-vbox-amd64 or ....-i386

""VMMR0_DO_NEM_INIT_VM failed: VERR_NEM_MISSING_KERNEL_API_2 (VERR_NEM_MISSING_KERNEL_API_2).
VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

Result Code:
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:
ConsoleWrap
Interface:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}""

Steps To Reproduce

Import the content of the downloaded package following the traditional steps, followed by the individual configuration details on the ORACLE management settings.

Additional Information

The application opens up the widget and starts running shortly after depressing the Blue START arrow on the Oracle Supporting platform / environment

The installation failed with all the other older versions of the recommended KALI packages:

kali-linux-2020-W28-installer-netinst-i386
kali-linux-2020.2a-vbox-amd64

on each of the following Oracle platform versions:

Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.1.6
VirtualBox-6.1.6-137129-Win
Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-5.2.40
VirtualBox-5.2.40-137108-Win

It is unlikely to expect some new miracles to happen unless the binaries get closer to a 3,500 Mb size as recommended by the class instructor vs. an incomplete 3,219,107 sized downloaded package that seems to be missing the Kernel_API_2 component.
