Summary | 0006808: When dual booting or booting from live USB regardless of persistence Kali will not recognize the keyboard or trackpad of Macbook
Description | The trackpad and keyboard in both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from 2019 works all the way until the boot menu. Once you select Live, Live persistence or any more for that matter the keyboard and trackpad stop functioning.
Steps To Reproduce | Boot from a LIVE USB on a MacBook Pro or Air from 2019.
I've witness somebody had a similar issue about 9-10 months ago and if I remember correctly, it has something to do with the drivers/hardware. And one thing you could give a try is:
I honestly don't know if this would work and potentially the good thing to do is use a VM because I believe the keyboard/Trackpad will work maybe ¯_(ツ)_/¯ notes: try using a non-apple product when attempting to use a regular keyboard/mouse. |
