Summary0007065: Kali OS corrupted after opening a non-malware file.
Description

That sounds pretty dumb, but i tried to open an 1.21GB text file with your new text editor. A file that was writen by crunch using "crunch 0 10". Well, it was buggy, so i forced the Kali to shutdown and i turn on again, and then i just can't log in anymore. Whenever i try, i just got a black screen and then got back to the login screen, without any warnings or things like that. I do not used any root privileges and my Kali was recently updated.
I guess that the Kali's system was corrupted by it. Oh, and i just have some MB of memory lasting, so i guess that the crunch taked it all and when i opened they corrupted things.

Steps To Reproduce
  • code in user mode: crunch 0 10 > FILE.txt
  • waits 10 minutes.
  • start the file (with you having such no space left on storage and just 2.048GB of RAM) and immediatly closes crunch with CNTRL+C.
  • wait a while, about 5 minutes or more.
  • force Kali's shutdown.
  • Corrupted OS :).
Additional Information

I wish i helped and i wish that i do not needs to download 18gb of .iso again. Oh god.
