Summary0007209: 5.10.0-kali7-amd64 non-root user Gnome settings panel crashes
Description

The settings panel from the top menu, crashes immediately after clicking on a menu item in the left side menu.

The output in kern.log is:

May 30 19:48:12 kali kernel: [ 1068.263722] gnome-control-c[4220]: segfault at ffffffffffffffd0 ip 00007fda199008a7 sp 00007ffc897bace8 error 5 in libgtk-3.so.0.2404.20[7fda19806000+374000]
May 30 19:48:12 kali kernel: [ 1068.263756] Code: 83 c4 08 5b 5d c3 0f 1f

I originally asked the question on the Linux/Unix forums in Stack Exchange, and was suggested to submit the bug. Also seems like something like this was reported in debian: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/411

Kernel version: 5.10.0-kali7-amd64

apt list
gnome-control-center-data/kali-rolling 1:3.38.4-1 all
gnome-control-center-dev/kali-rolling 1:3.38.4-1 all
gnome-control-center/kali-rolling 1:3.38.4-1 amd64

The OUTPUT of gnome-control-center --verbose when clicking on some items in the menu
$ gnome-control-center --verbose
(gnome-control-center:173944): libnm-CRITICAL **: 22:31:39.945: ((libnm/nm-client.c:4007)): assertion '<dropped>' failed

(gnome-control-center:173944): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 22:31:39.945: gtk_stack_set_visible_child_name: assertion 'GTK_IS_STACK (stack)' failed
