Can you provide more information? What chipset does the adapter use? When you say other adapter detected, is it the same chipset? Have you tried other USB ports?

There isn't a lot of information to go off here, other than "it worked before and doesn't work now" - the Kali team is small, and we don't all have access to every WiFi device out there, so having this information helps us to attempt to reproduce the issue if we have a device with the same chipset...

My OS Linux version 5.16.0-kali7-amd64 ([email protected]) (gcc-11 (Debian 11.2.0-19) 11.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Debian) 2.38) 0000001 SMP PREEMPT Debian 5.16.18-1kali1 (2022-04-01)
And yes TP-Link TL-WN823N V2 is working while TP-Link Archer T4U AC1300 MU-MIMI USB Adapater cannot be detected or used!
I can used it before but latest updates make the adapter useless!

It's great that you provided the kernel version, but the device names aren't helpful. Please provide the chipsets that they use, and dmesg output when you've plugged the devices in.

You mentioned installing a repo, but you don't mention the repo at all - this is all information that we need to assist you.

Please, when you are filing a bug provide as much detail as possible, it helps us help faster as it doesn't require back and forth just to get the very basic of information needed. It's better to provide too much information than not enough.

If your Archer T4U AC1300 MU-MIMO USB adapter is no longer being detected in Kali Linux, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check USB Connection: Ensure that the USB adapter is properly connected to your computer. Try unplugging and reconnecting it to a different USB port.

Verify Driver Installation: Confirm that the necessary drivers for the Archer T4U adapter are installed. In some cases, Kali Linux may have updated, and the previous drivers may no longer be compatible. You may need to reinstall or update the drivers.

a. Connect your computer to the internet using an alternative network connection (such as Ethernet) or use another computer to download the latest drivers for the Archer T4U adapter from the manufacturer's website.

b. Follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer to install the drivers on your Kali Linux system.

Check Compatibility: Ensure that the Archer T4U adapter is compatible with the version of Kali Linux you are using. Check the manufacturer's documentation or support resources to verify compatibility.

Update Kali Linux: Make sure your Kali Linux system is up to date by running the following commands in the terminal:

sql
Copy code
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
Updating the system may include newer kernel versions or driver updates that could potentially resolve compatibility issues.

Check Kernel Modules: Verify if the required kernel modules are loaded for the Archer T4U adapter. In a terminal, run the following command to list loaded kernel modules:

lsmod | grep rtl

Look for modules related to Realtek wireless drivers. If you don't see any, it indicates that the appropriate driver is not loaded. You may need to load the driver manually or investigate further.

Search for Community Solutions: Look for specific solutions or workarounds from the Kali Linux community or forums. Other users may have encountered similar issues with the Archer T4U adapter and have found successful resolutions.
If none of the above steps work, you may need to consider using an alternative WiFi adapter that is known to be compatible with Kali Linux and its wireless attack tools. Consult the Kali Linux documentation or community for recommendations on compatible WiFi adapters that work well for penetration testing and wireless attacks.
