Summary | 0008061: Kali Linux not recognizing drives | ||||
Description | When trying to install Kali Linux on Older Machines or machines with "Intel Rapid Storage" the drives may not be able to be recognized when asked to partition the disk. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Have Intel Rapid Storage turned on in your computers BIOS 2. Boot into Kali Linux Installer 3. Follow all steps till I askes to partition drives 4. If Intel Rapid Storage is on in BIOS kali will not recognize the drives | ||||
Additional Information | This can be fixed by going into BIOS and setting the SATA Operation to AHCI and Not Raid On and turning off secure boot. | ||||
