How much disk space did you give your VM? Keep in mind that installing the everything metapackage requires a great deal of disk space and if you run out, the file system will likely error out and become read only.

I reserved 85gb of space for the system.

this may be due to apple virtualizer. Or bitdefender might be interfering. I don't know if it's from Kali or not.

How did you install Kali? Did you give it 85GB straight away? And use a single partition?

Any errors when installing kali-everything?

A single partition of type 85gb ext4. I didn't do the partitioning myself. I selected the disk and made the partitioning kali. The errors while installing the kali-everything package are in the screenshot I first uploaded.

Make sure that the host system / the partition where the VM is placed has enough space available (the VM image is likely getting corrupted otherwise).

This topic looks more like something for the support forum and not the bug tracker

thank you for your help the problem was caused by apple virtualization error. It works fine in qemu kernel. You can terminate the error log.
