How to get a log file? What path is it located on a USB flash drive with kali installed?

Apparently, no one cares.

Please keep in mind that we work a typical work week and take weekends like most.

To answer your question, you can try enabling persistence and then attempting to boot that. You can find information about log files here https://www.kali.org/docs/troubleshooting/basic-troubleshooting/
Re-imaging the drive may be useful as well, if you haven't done so already. Please also verify the checksum of the iso file.

I notice we don't have a documentation page on troubleshooting live USB so that is something that will be added to the list to be created.
